We are in Guanajuato!

This trip for me has been a trial, so far! The guy next to me on the 1st flight spilled coffee on his seat and I didn’t know!…..when I moved out of my seat, I rubbed on his seat and got all the years of airplane dirt, dissolved in coffee, all over my white slacks! ….. ok changed to shorts for the next flight. It was late so we just went to bed in the hotel near the airport. In the AM , we got a “TAXI” ( using the term lightly) for the 46 minute drive to Guanajuato. It was a lady driver, and she took a turn ( i think to avoid the toll) and we got a short tour of a village…. and the dirt trails around the guanajuato. I tried my camera and found it was acting up terribly, so I lost the pictures but picture puddles totally covering the dirt road! Then a rushing stream we were supposed to ford! NOT! luckily a truck came thru from the other direction and told her where to go to get back to the toll road! Hour and 45 minutes for the trip! BUT we made it and our hotel is lovely.

Since my Sony camera decided it was a great time to break, I’d have to use my phone instead,  only to find its too full! So I’m backing up and deleting apps, videos, and photos…..one thing after another!

All that aside, we had a wonderful day walking around, getting our bearings, eating, and sight seeing!

We are off again

Tomorrow we leave for an adventure in Mexico. We fly into Central Guanajuato state, Leon, and we are spending 3 nights in Guanajuato and 4 nights in San Miguel de Allende before flying to San Jose del Cabo for 5 nights. Wish us well on our journey!

Our last weekend

After an exciting 2 days at Nebraska state track and field championship, with Chase County Girls winning the trophy, and grandson Dawson’s 4×100 team coming in 5th, Liz, David and Tucker dropped us off in Lincoln. We had a wonderful Evening visiting our EV FREE choir friends, the Colliers, Mike and Chris, who moved 3 years ago to Lincoln Nebraska, near their daughter Katie and her darling family! We had the best steak dinner ever! Mike is the Grill master! We had a ride and a walk around Lincoln, after dinner then retired to their lovely home and their honeymoon suite! Sunday We attended Faith Bible church with them in the morning, had a quick tour of downtown Lincoln and the state capital and lunch in the Haymarket before they drove us to the Omaha airport for the first Leg of our return home. We had a storm delay due to weather near Denver but got here safely to overnight for our Monday flight home to SoCal

We are all in God’s hands!

State Championships

Dawson ran the 100m Relay prelims yesterday, but just missed qualifying for finals by 0.19 second! A great showing for Sophomore! We’re very proud of him!

From the local Paper, the Imperiel Republican

Two Chase County girls, good friends of ours, Kamrie and Chloe Dillon both qualified in their events! Here’s Kamrie’s 100m dash results. Another Chase girl, Bryn McNair won her event the 400m and they got 3nd in their 4×800 relay!, Great showing by the CC Girls!

We are looking forward to the Chase County Boys 4×100 with Dawson running anchor. And the finals for the girls short track finals!
