Hi everyone, we are almost ready for our next big adventure. Our plans will unfold as we go. Our flights Saturday take us to Germany where we have a couple days to sightsee in Bavaria before joining our tour group and the passion play in Oberammergau. We will then be singing our way across Austria! Stay tuned!
Our flight is next in an hour or so! Lufthansa 453 of to Munich

Tucker’s 8th Grade Choir
Dawson plays Trombone in the Jazz Band as well as in Sr. Hi Band.

This time of year we visit the family in Nebraska for the Track meets of 2 of our grandsons, Dawson and Tucker. Both were doing well, and it was fun to watch them compete again. Here are a few photos of them in action. The Chase County Longhorns in Black and Orange

Dawson running for his High School team. He ran the 100, but placed only about 5th. The 4 x 100 however the team did very well, came in 3rd.
Tucker competes for the Jr Hi team as an 8th grader. He’s outstanding in the long jump and came in first with a jump of 18′ 6″

Tucker also runs to 100 and 4×100

We had a great 9 day visit with 4 track meets!! Dawson didn’t qualify for State competition this year, Lost by 1 place in the 100. Tucker, however, will go to the state Jr. Hi competition this week!

We are visiting the Nebraska family, to watch 2 grandsons’ track meets. We try to come twice a year, for their Football in the fall and track in the spring. We always check The weather to decide what to pack but we didn’t expect this!

As you may know, I’ve written a couple articles for international travel news! Our trip to Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende was published this month and received Feature Story and Cover picture too! Enjoy.

I was feeling a bit better today so we adventures to see an ancient pyramid from approximately 2500 years ago

Our guide was very interesting and told us about many of the plants in the garden of the area

Then we went to a local home for lunch, a typical Mexican lunch, flautas, quecedillas, salad, beans

On a short walk to breakfast, I was hit by a Truck! Not a bad a it sounds tho! the back door of the bobtail delivery truck flew open and hit my arm from behind as we were both heading the same direction, me on the sidewalk, on a narrow street. I wasn’t hurt, but it did shake me up a bit! We did a little exploring after breakfast, went to the Ignacio Ramirez market, and the artisans market. Then as I was returning to the hotel I got a migraine! And am cautiously staying close to the hotel since Montezuma is seeking his revenge. … not the best of days, so far and its barely noon! Then mid afternoon a 2nd migraine! Wish me luck tomorrow. We are hoping to visit an archeological site on a bus tour!
Today we traveled by taxi to San Miguel through lovely countryside

We checked in and rested before exploring the historic city center. A little girl was celebrating a birthday so we enjoyed her serenade by mariachi

We had a lunch in a great restaurant

Afternoon we visited the cathedral and the church of San Francisco before a wonderful Peruvian dinner
