Our first port, an old coal mining town,  on the Hunter River.  It is the home of the oldest vineyards in Australia in Hunter Valley.   It is also our first option to see some of Australia’s animals,  at Black butt Reserve

Sadly,  the only koala in the reserve was getting a physical at the vet today.  😪
